A Los Angeles, CA native, LaTÏŒnya is a graduate of Washington DC's Howard University (where, at age 19, she worked with Grammy-winning Gospel recording artist Richard Smallwood). She also studied Mu! sic at The University of Southern California, where she met Jazz legend Wynton Marsalis, then soon launched her professional singing & recording career.
