I decided to do a few experiments to give the cats more mental challenges. Being indoor cats that no longer hunt for their food, it is always good to give them mental challenges when possible. Many cat behavior problems arise purely out of boredom and lack of environmental stimulation (even the kitties that sleep all day). Today we tried out a Nano HEXBUG. While these are a children's toy they can be used for cats under supervision. I used cloth medical tape to create a tail (folded over on itself so no longer sticky), and this made the toy MUCH better. Putting it in a clear container or a box with holes so they can chase after it and they were in love. The Nano Hexbug is our new favorite toy, MUCH better then live crickets. epetmeadow.com
